Program Overview

South Carolina First Steps is a comprehensive state-wide initiative focused on addressing the healthcare, childcare, early education, family strengthening, parenting skills, transportation needs, and service gaps for families and their children from birth to five years of age.  County level First Steps programs are being implemented to help South Carolina children enter school healthy and ready to learn.

Newberry County First Steps will help foster nurturing experiences so that every child will enter first grade ready to succeed.

Vision Statement

Every child will grow to become a successful and productive citizen who will contribute to the growth of Newberry County.
